Text Reverser🔒 100% local
Reverse text by lines, words, characters, or entire text. Multiple reversal modes available.
Related Tools
Reverses text in one of four ways: the order of the lines, the order of the words inside each line, the characters inside each line, or the whole block treated as a single string. Pick a mode, paste the text, press Reverse. The tool opens in Reverse Line Order.
How to use it
- Choose a mode from the Reversal Mode dropdown: lines, words, characters per line, or the entire text.
- Paste the text into the input box.
- Press Reverse, then Copy Output.
Worked example
Hello World

Line 3
Line 4 (mode: Reverse Line Order)becomesLine 4
Line 3
This is a test
Hello Worldone two three
four five (mode: Reverse Word Order)becomesthree two one
five fourEach line is reversed on its own; line boundaries are preserved.
When to use it
- Working a checklist bottom-up by flipping the order of its lines.
- Reversing word order within each line for a puzzle or a formatting test.
- Producing mirrored or reversed text for a design or a spacing exercise.
What it does not do
- Reverse Characters works per line, not across the whole input. Use Reverse Entire Text if you want the block flipped as one continuous string.
- Reverse Word Order re-joins each line with single spaces, so original indentation and runs of multiple spaces are lost.
- Reverse Line Order keeps every line intact and only reorders them; a trailing newline in your input becomes a leading blank line in the output.
- Clear does not empty the box - it restores the tool's built-in four-line sample, so you have to select and delete the text yourself.
