Reorders a list of items at random. If the input contains line breaks it treats each line as one item, otherwise it splits on commas; it then runs a Fisher-Yates shuffle using crypto.getRandomValues and prints the items back in their new order, joined with the same separator style it detected. Nothing is stored between presses.
How to use it
- Paste your items, either one per line or separated by commas.
- Press Process. The new order appears under a line stating how many items were shuffled.
- Press Process again for a fresh order, or Copy Output to keep the current one.
Worked example
alpha, beta, gamma, deltabecomesShuffled 4 items (Fisher-Yates, crypto-random):
gamma, delta, beta, alphaOne real run, computed in Node with the tool's own algorithm. The order changes on every press - this is the result of one press, not a fixed answer.

When to use it
- Picking a random order for a list of names, tasks or options where any bias would be unfair.
- Shuffling quiz answers or a play order without pasting the list into a randomiser site.
- Breaking a predictable sequence, such as always reviewing the same files in the same order.
What it does not do
- The order is not reproducible. There is no seed field, so you cannot shuffle twice and get the same result or document how a particular order was chosen.
- The separator is detected, not chosen: a list mixing line breaks and commas is split on lines only, and the comma portion stays glued together as a single item.
- Two or more items are required. A single item reports 'Need at least 2 items to shuffle' rather than returning it unchanged.
- Randomness rests on crypto.getRandomValues, but a modulo of a 32-bit value is used for the index, a slight bias that matters only to someone auditing the distribution rather than shuffling a list.
