Rewrites a clock time between 12-hour and 24-hour notation, or turns a duration such as 32h, 90min or 650s into hours, minutes and seconds. Type a time like 14:30 or 2:30 PM, or a duration, and the tool prints both forms plus totals.
How to use it
- Type a time, for example 14:30 or 2:30 PM, optionally followed by a comma and a hint such as 12h.
- Or type a duration, for example 32h, 90min or 650s.
- Press Process and copy the reformatted result.
Worked example
14:30, 12hbecomesInput: 14:30
24-hour: 14:30
12-hour: 2:30 PM
ISO: 14:30:00Z (14 decimal hours)
Fractions: +15 min → 14:45 | +1h → 15:30Two fields are needed: the time before the comma, the hint after it.
32h, hh:mmbecomesInput: 32h
Duration: 32h 0m 0s
HH:MM:SS: 32:00:00
Decimal: 32.0000 hours
Total minutes: 1920
Total seconds: 115200When to use it
- Converting a 24-hour timetable into AM/PM for a schedule you are writing by hand.
- Turning a training log or timesheet total expressed in hours into HH:MM:SS.
- Checking how a fifteen-minute or one-hour increment reads in both notations.
What it does not do
- Despite the name it does nothing with timezones. The string is reformatted as typed, and the ISO line simply appends Z without any offset arithmetic.
- The hint after the comma is parsed and then ignored. The AM or PM in the output is derived from the hour you entered, not from the word 12h or 24h.
- Decimal hours truncate rather than round, so 23:59 prints 23 decimal hours because the code uses Math.floor on the hour plus fraction.
- A duration takes one number and one unit only, so 1h 30m is rejected; use 90min. The clock branch accepts HH:MM:SS but a duration cannot combine hours with minutes and seconds.
