Takes two dates from the pickers and prints the absolute gap between them in whole days, alongside that same figure divided into weeks, months and years. The day count comes from subtracting the two timestamps; the other three are plain division. Both dates stay in the page and nothing is submitted.
How to use it
- Pick a start date and an end date with the two pickers.
- Press Calculate.
- Read the days, weeks, months and years lines.
- Copy Result, or press Reset to Today + 1 Year to start a fresh span.
Worked example
2024-01-01 to 2024-12-31becomesDays between: 365 days
Weeks: 52.1
Months: 12.0
Years: 1.0Verified: 2024 is a leap year so the span is exactly 365 days, and the other three lines are 365 divided by 7, 30.44 and 365.25, each rounded to one decimal.
2026-09-27 to 2026-10-04becomesDays between: 7 days
Weeks: 1.0
Months: 0.2
Years: 0.0When to use it
- Counting how many days remain before a deadline or a renewal falls due.
- Sizing a sprint, notice period or billing cycle in days and weeks.
- Getting a quick year figure for a lease or warranty span.
What it does not do
- The week, month and year lines are not calendar measures: months use a fixed 30.44 days and years a fixed 365.25, so two equal-length spans can read the same even when one crosses more month boundaries.
- The two dates are interchangeable - the difference is absolute, so you never see a negative number or a direction of travel.
- The Date 1 and Date 2 lines use your browser's locale format, so they can appear as 01/01/2024 or 1/1/2024 depending on your settings.
- The count rounds up, so a partial day is never shown: identical dates give 0 days and the smallest non-zero reading is 1.
