Glass Card Preview

CSS Generator: related tools
A slider-driven generator for one style in particular: glassmorphism, the frosted-glass card look. Four controls set the background blur, the translucent white fill, the shadow blur and the shadow opacity, and the page writes the six CSS declarations you need - including the -webkit- prefix for Safari - next to a live preview card. The preview and the code are produced in the page.
CSS Generator: how to use it
- Drag Background Blur to set how strongly the surface behind the card is blurred.
- Drag Backdrop Opacity for the white fill, then the shadow blur and shadow opacity sliders.
- Watch the preview card over the gradient update as you move them.
- Press Copy CSS to copy all six declarations at once.
CSS Generator: worked example
default sliders: blur 12px, opacity 0.25, shadow blur 24px, shadow opacity 0.15becomesbackground: rgba(255, 255, 255, 0.25);
backdrop-filter: blur(12px);
-webkit-backdrop-filter: blur(12px);
border: 1px solid rgba(255, 255, 255, 0.375);
box-shadow: 0 8px 24px 0 rgba(0, 0, 0, 0.15);
border-radius: 12px;Verified: the border alpha is the fill opacity times 1.5, and 0.25 x 1.5 = 0.375 exactly. Border radius is fixed at 12px.
CSS Generator: when to use it
- Getting a frosted-glass card style without hand-writing the backdrop-filter prefix for older Safari.
- Prototyping a hero card over a gradient and tuning the blur interactively.
- Copying one consistent glass style into a design system.
CSS Generator: what it does not do
- It generates exactly one effect family, the glass card, and nothing else - there is no border, gradient, animation or layout output despite the generic CSS Generator name.
- The border radius is hard-coded to 12px and the shadow keeps a fixed 0 horizontal and 8px vertical offset, so those are not adjustable.
- Fractional opacities can leak floating-point noise into the border alpha: with the fill at 0.4 the border line reads rgba(255, 255, 255, 0.6000000000000001).
- backdrop-filter blurs whatever sits behind the element, so over a plain background the glass effect is invisible; the -webkit- line covers Safari, not old Firefox or older browser versions.
