A textarea that runs ten line-based commands over whatever you paste. Put a command word on the first line - clean, dedupe, sort, numbers, bullets, join, words, todo, json or csv - and the rest of the text becomes the body; leave the first line unrecognised and the text is passed through unchanged except for a word count. The text lives only in the page's DOM, so it is gone when you close the tab.
How to use it
- Paste your text into the Input box.
- Type a command as the very first line, for example bullets on its own line above a numbered list.
- Press Process and read the rewritten body plus the word, character and line counts.
- Use Copy Output to move the result out before you navigate away.
Worked example
bullets
1. Buy milk
2. Walk dogbecomesConverted 2 line(s) to markdown bullets.
Stats: 6 words, 21 characters, 2 lines, ~1 min read
--- result ---
- Buy milk
- Walk dogThe command line is consumed, not counted; the stats describe the processed body only.
words
The quick brown fox.becomesStats: 4 words, 20 characters, 1 lines, ~1 min read
--- result ---
The quick brown fox.No recognised command on line one, so the text is returned untouched with a count.
When to use it
- Cleaning up a list copied out of a chat thread or PDF before pasting it into a document.
- Turning a column of lines into a JSON array or CSV for a quick script.
- Counting the words in a draft you would rather not hand to a cloud editor.
What it does not do
- Despite the name it does not save anything: there is no autosave and no localStorage, so a refresh loses every character.
- A command has to be the first line by itself; 'please sort this' is treated as ordinary text and you get counts back instead.
- Dedupe compares lines case-insensitively after trimming but keeps the first original spelling, so 'Apple' and 'apple' collapse into whichever came first.
- Sort uses locale collation with leading punctuation stripped, so the order can differ from a plain byte sort and blanks are moved to the end.
