AI Labyrinth Script
Generate hidden HTML decoy links to trap web scrapers, crawlers, and automated bots. Place the output in your website's footer or hidden sections to waste scraper resources while keeping your real content safe.
How It Works
The tool creates invisible links to random, non-existent paths on your domain. When scrapers follow these decoy links, they waste bandwidth and resources while your real analytics remain clean.
Tip: Start with 10-20 links and monitor your 404 logs to see scrapers in action.
Writes a hidden block of decoy links that point at paths which do not exist on your site, so crawlers that follow every href spend requests on dead ends. Both the path and the visible label of each link are drawn at random inside the page when you press Generate, and the only thing you take away is the HTML block you copy.
How to use it
- Set how many decoy links you want. The box takes 1 to 100.
- Press Generate. Pressing it a second time produces a fresh set of paths.
- Press Copy Code and paste the block into a layout that renders on every page, such as a footer include or a base template.
Worked example
3becomes<!-- AI Labyrinth - Decoy links to trap scrapers -->
<div style="display:none" aria-hidden="true">
<a href="/trap/uf19zq">Hidden Dashboard</a>
<a href="/trap/5rq57">Admin Panel</a>
<a href="/trap/2j0jqe">Hidden Dashboard</a>
</div>One real draw from 27 September 2026. Paths and labels come from Math.random, so another Generate gives different paths and possibly different labels; only the shape of the block stays the same.

<div style="display:none" aria-hidden="true">
<a href="/trap/u3l9b">Master Key</a>
<a href="/trap/k5lgb">API Keys</a>
</div>A second draw from the same session. The paths are short base-36 strings, and the label list is random with replacement, so two links can easily carry the same wording.
When to use it
- You run a small content site and want a cheap way to soak up scraper requests without installing a bot-blocking service.
- You are writing your own crawler and need a page of traps to check that it honours display:none.
- You want to measure how much of your 404 traffic is automated by watching requests to the generated /trap/ paths.
What it does not do
- The links are hidden with display:none and aria-hidden only. A crawler that parses raw HTML and ignores CSS still reads them, and so does anyone who opens view-source.
- Nothing else is generated: no robots.txt entry, no nofollow attribute, no logging endpoint. Bot hits become 404s that you have to monitor yourself.
- Labels are drawn from a fixed set of ten strings (Admin Panel, User Database, API Keys, Secret Config, Backup Files, Internal Docs, Private API, Hidden Dashboard, Root Access, Master Key), so a scraper that has seen the block once can recognise it by its wording.
- The link count is guarded only by a disabled button, not by a correction: a typed value above 100 leaves Generate dead until you bring the number back into range.
